Manual lymphatic drainage is a specialized form of massage therapy that can help to improve edema/inflammation, and the progression of these conditions to lymphedema. These are conditions that can occur for a number of reasons, including post-operatively (especially cancer treatment that require lymphatic tissue removal), acute injury, orthopedic trauma, and certain autoimmune conditions
(to name a few).
Manual lymphatic drainage serves to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid by systematically, rhythmically stretching the skin to encourage lymph flow through the filtering systems of the body, helping to reduce edema and inflammation, and prevent lymphedema.
These sessions are 75 minutes.
